The restaurant critic for the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Ryan DuVall, is answering readers’ questions today. One reader asks for the top six area tenderloins. Roadfooders are always on the lookout for a good tenderloin, especially in Indiana, so this could come in handy. His favorites? Laycoff’s Bar & Grill in Fort Wayne, Old Towne Diner in Leo-Cedarville, Rack and Helen’s Bar in New Haven, Green Frog Tavern in Fort Wayne, Big Eyed Fish in Fort Wayne, and Nick’s Junction in Roanoke. Nick’s Junction is run by the son of Nick of the legendary Nick’s Kitchen, which is a few miles down the road in Huntington (that’s a Nick’s Kitchen tenderloin pictured above; see the Roadfood.com review). He also answers a question about the region’s best fried fish, if you’re interested.
