Crab Meat on My Mind

Marky90’s query about where to get the best crab cakes during a short layover in Baltimore got me thinking not just about crab cakes, but about crab meat in general and how honored it is at G&M Restaurant (804 N. Hammonds Ferry Rd., Linthicum, MD. 410-636-1777). In fact, G&M is one of the few places where I would highly recommend ordering stuffed shrimp. More commonly a clump of soggy breading, the stuffing of G&M’s shrimp is itself a mini crab cake, composed of big, sweet, pearly hunks of meat. Here is a close view of the crabmeat atop one of the three shrimp you get as a dinner entree:

Wow, does that look good!  Next time at G & M, I am definitely trying that stuffed shrimp.

I agree that G&M Restaurant has the best crab cakes in Maryland's bay area.  As one who lives in Columbia and enjoys crab cakes at least every couple of weeks, I should know.

Of course, we also think highly of Faidley's - but generally only venture to the Lexington Market when we need to stock up on other goodies (such as chicken gizzards).

Thank you Michael, I wish I would have seen this before I left for Baltimore!  We loved G&M..But were so full on crabcakes from Faildley's..That would have been a fantastic addition before we hit the airport.. P.S  The "famous cookie" from Berger's  are the best i ever had..They even gave my group a free cookie..(we told them we heard from Roadfood.com)  Great people.. Lexington market is fantastic!  Thanks again..I will go back to Baltimore ASAP
