Do You Travel With a Laptop? That was the question recently posed on Roadfood.com. The majority of us do! We were kind of surprised by that; we just hadn’t realized how commonplace it’s become for people to stay connected while they’re away from home. It’s fairly common these days for mid-level hotels to offer a free high-speed wireless connection in your room, which makes it much easier than it was even five years ago (upscale properties still generally charge $10/day for a connection, while the net is still rather uncommon at bargain motels and B&Bs). It’s become practically a necessity for us when we travel. We used to print off reams of information before we left for a trip; now a laptop and a flash drive has us covered, and we travel paperless.
