The restaurant that is said to have invented the cheeseburger has closed. Kaelin’s, of Louisville, KY, was purchased from the daughter of the original owners in 2004 by Clark Property Solutions. They said business has been down and they faced “real estate and operational” hurdles. They are officially calling the situation “closed for remodeling,” but it doesn’t sound very promising.
