The USS New Mexico, a $2.7 billion Virginia Class nuclear submarine whose construction is due to be completed this month, has named its galley La Posta, after the Roadfood restaurant of the same name in Mesilla, NM.  Future members of the sub’s crew visited restaurants in New Mexico and decided on La Posta after spending time there preparing food, learning recipes, and touring chile farms.  Tom Hutchinson, owner of La Posta, plans to return the honor by naming a room in his restaurant after the sub.  Read the whole story in the Las Cruces Sun-News.
