The Fairfield Winter Market, in Connecticut, begins its second year this Saturday, 11/22/08, at The Fairfield Theatre Company, across from the Fairfield train station. The winter market runs through April. Among the vendors offering artisan chevre, organic chocolates, raw milk, and emu eggs are two Roadfood favorites: Wave Hill Breads of Wilton (Roadfood.com review) will be selling their famous three grain pain de campagne, and Whistle Stop Bakery of Ridgefield will be the place to find pot pie, empanadas, fruit pies, and other baked goods.
Pictured above are Whistle Stop’s chocolate biscotti with dried cranberries, and a couple of chocolate cupcakes, from Michael Stern’s Roadfood.com review of Whistle Stop.
