In the recent poll of Roadfood.com readers to find out which region of the country offers the best Roadfood eating, the South came out on top.  We’d agree.  Maybe it’s because so much of Southern food consists of the familiar-seeming home-cooking that exists in our collective American subconscious, food that so few of us who live outside the region have ever actually experienced at its finest.  Or maybe it just tastes best.
