Greg Burliuk of The Kingston Whig Standard visits Le Chien Noir Bistro (Roadfood.com review) to sample the Farm to Table menu, which will be available in the restaurant through Thanksgiving weekend. The menu will feature as much locally-sourced food as possible, including local wines. Read more here; it sounds terrific.
Pictured above are frites from Le Chien Noir. The menu often features a fancified poutine on the menu. Greg describes one recent version made with braised veal cheeks, Black River cheese curds, and veal jus. We can vouch for the excellence of the Black Dog’s fries; this poutine almost makes us want to drive to Kingston right now.
