Mast General Store and the Blue Ridge Parkway

This Saturday (9/13/08), the Mast General Store in North Carolina (Roadfood.com review) will donate 10 percent of its sales (both in-person and Internet sales) to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.  Federal funding does not cover all of the expenses for the parkway, and the Foundation helps to fill in that funding gap.  There is also a planned motorcycle ride from Old Fort to Valle Crucis, ending up at the Mast General Store, where door prizes will be awarded.  See the story in The Watauga Democrat.
