Founded in 1881, UConn is a land-grant college, distinguished from many other large universities by the sustained presence of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The on-campus creamery has been in operation since the beginning of the 20th Century and continues to dish out scoops of its super-creamy to droves of university students and community residents alike. Who says dining hall food can't be delicious?

Our recommendation - We would travel across several towns to experience the UConn Dairy Bar.

Trip Report Card
Overall Experience

Jonathan Supreme Ice Cream – Named after the Huskies' mascot, this vanilla ice cream contains thick ribbons of peanut butter and an abundance of chocolate-covered peanuts. The thick peanut butter swirl was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Toasted Almond Amaretto Ice Cream – Bold amaretto flavor with non-uniform almond pieces scattered throughout.
Mint Chip Ice Cream – Pale green ice cream with ample rectangular chips, but too subtle of a mint taste.
Vanilla Ice Cream – Creamy and flavorful, this vanilla provides a perfect base for toppings.
Hot Fudge Sauce – The taste was rather generic and the consistency thick and caramel-like.

Regarding the Jonathan Supreme, the peanut butter ribbon stays frozen and slightly malleable until it's your mouth -- and then it melts completely, flooding your tongue with peanut flavor!
