Best of Mississippi 2008: Best Cornbread at Cock of the Walk

This month’s issue of Mississippi Magazine features readers’ choices for Best of Mississippi 2008, and Cock of the Walk won for Best Cornbread, about which the magazine says “enjoy cornbread that would make your mama proud.”  In our own Roadfood.com review of Natchez’s Cock of the Walk (one of a small regional chain of six franchise operations), we praised the cornbread too: “outstanding cornbread, crunchy and buttery-rich.”

There are some other promising looking choices on the list, including Mississippi’s best fried chicken, best vegetables, and best downhome cooking.  Check it out.
