“You wouldn’t believe how many people have been calling us every day about it!” our friendly Wentworth’s scooper told us about their newest addition—peach ice cream—listed boldly in all caps on their rotating “Flavors of the Moment” menu board. Many Roadfooders bemoaned our exclusion of Wentworth’s of Hamden in the Top 50 New England Ice Cream Tour, but let us state that it was strictly an oversight. Coupled with a very Dr. Mike’s-influenced Mocha Lace (made with the same Chocolate Lace candy from Hauser Chocolatier in Bethel), these sweet scoops sang a satisfying song on a muggy Connecticut summer night.
