A city-owned dump truck crashed into the Goody Goody Diner last Monday at about 11 a.m. while the diner was almost filled with customers, we learned in an article by Jeremy Kohler in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The truck smashed through a rear storage room; apparently nobody was hurt except, perhaps, the driver of the truck, who may have passed out before the crash. The diner closed after the crash, and we have no word on when the diner reopened (or if it remains closed). This year the Goody Goody Diner in St. Louis is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
That’s buffetbuster’s photo of the diner above, from the Roadfood.com review.
