New Orleans Magazine has done a story called 97 Quirky New Orleans Discoveries.  In New Orleans, where quirky is practically a religion, it shouldn't be too hard to put together a list like this (but 97?  A list of 97 anythings would be a challenge).   This article is just the kind of thing we'd love to have when planning our next visit.  Some of the quirks that caught our eye: the UCM (You-See-'em) Museum, in an old gas station, Napoleon's Death Mask, the House of Dance and Feathers, and Café Reconcile.

Not everything is really all that offbeat, but most of the suggestions sound like fun.  There are a few choice restaurant suggestions too, including beignets and café au lait at Café du Monde, an omelette, pecan pie and a mocha freeze at Camellia Grill, Oysters Rockefeller at Antoine’s, Bananas Foster at Brennan’s, and a snowball (see photo above) at Hansen’s.
