The definitive resource for news, events and reviews of great regional food from around the country
Although the town of Gales Ferry is only a few short miles from the development of the Connecticut shoreline, this pastoral setting may fool you into thinking that you are on the backroads of rural Vermont. Most folks likely come for a scoop of their homemade ice cream; however, a trip to Cows and Cones can be much more. While the kids check out the petting zoo and take a hayride around the premises, parents may have more interest in exploring the long rows of greenhouses filled to the brim with plants and blooming flowers.
Please visit http://www.RoadfoodDigest.com/IceCream for a complete listing of reviews in the New England Ice Cream series.
Our recommendation - We would experience Cows & Cones Ice Cream if were traveling through the town.

Is it just my imagination that the rate of posting these is slowing down, or are any of you needing breaks to see your cardiologist or dentist?

We have already been to all the places, but I have been slow in posting due to my other work demands. All the reviews should be posted before the end of the month.
