 New England Ice Cream 001

An unassuming little shop tucked away on Route 114 next to Diamond Hill State Park, the Ice Cream Machine produces predictable favorites (Butter Crunch, Cookie Dough, Caramel Fudge) and wild flavors (Purple Cow, Birthday Cake, Green Tea) with a dynamite texture since 1977. The shop is also locally famous for their wholesale ice cream cakes, pies, brownies, and cookies.

Our recommendation - We would travel across several towns to experience Ice Cream Machine.

Trip Report Card
Overall Experience

Cinnamon Sugar Ice Cream - Very cinnamony with a perfect texture, and of course it tastes just like cinnamon toast (worth driving for!)
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream - Not a huge mint flavor, with an adequate number of chips.
Vanilla Ice Cream - Smooth and creamy, but good use a boost a vanilla flavor.
Hot Fudge Sauce - Clearly canned and tasted like it.

I happened to be in Cumberland the other day, and decided to try the Cinnamon Sugar on this recommendation. It is outstanding-tastes just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. The one thing about Ice Cream Machine is that they are a bit pricey, but the portions are large, and my wife raved about the Rum Raisin and Frozen Pudding.
