With a snazzy, retro façade located just on the edge of a residential district of New London, Michael’s Dairy is a year-round local institution. Although business done at the old-fashioned counter is strictly of the dairy variety, the back of the building serves as the main bookstore for the adjacent Mitchell College.

Our recommendation - We would experience Michael’s Dairy Ice Cream if were traveling through the town.
| Trip Report Card |
| Overall Experience | |
| |
| Monster Mash Ice Cream - An everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach, this vanilla ice cream was loaded with M&Ms, Oreos, malted milk balls, and a caramel swirl. | |
| Peppermint Stick Ice Cream - Attractive appearance and pink color, but the flavor faded quickly. | |
| Vanilla Ice Cream - This scoop had more of an ice milk texture than was expected, given its appearance. | |
| Hot Fudge Sauce - From a can, though the scooper assured us that the can was “freshly opened” that day. | |
