Ice Cream Stop #32 - The Daily Scoop, Bristol, RI

New England Ice Cream 015

After taking formal courses on ice cream manufacture, Deb and Bob Saunders opened the Daily Scoop in Bristol, across the street from Independence Park. Their pints of premium ice cream are available in area stores and in southern Connecticut and Massachusetts, but follow the patriotically red, white, and blue lane lines painted on the streets to the small shop with the picture-perfect view of Narragansett Bay.

Our recommendation - We would travel across several towns to experience to The Daily Scoop.

Trip Report Card
Overall Experience

Wild Maine Blueberry Ice Cream - A dignified blueberry taste, flecked with whole and pieces of wild blueberries.
Black Raspberry Chip Ice Cream - Its light flavor was too subtle to support this chip-laden ice cream.
Vanilla Ice Cream - A very plain taste that begs for toppings and should not be eaten by itself.
Hot Fudge Sauce - Came out of the pump like chocolate spaghetti, and the stringiness made it difficult to melt and mix in with the ice cream.
