I grew up eating at Ted's original location at Front Park, next to the Peace Bridge to Canada. The secret of Ted's is not just the real charcoal grilling, but the Sahlen's brand foot-long dogs that are made in Buffalo and are available at most local supermarkets. Actually good hot dogs are easy to find in Western New York, like Wardynski brand in Buffalo and Zweigel's brand in Rochester.
