New England Ice Cream 065

Since 1880, Bedford Farms has been the oldest continuously running business in the town of Bedford. During the late '40s, they discovered their gift for making premium ice cream and have been keeping up with the area's demands ever since. Boasting 16% butterfat, this luscious ice cream is extra-thick and packed with the most popular mix-ins.

Our recommendation - We would travel across several towns to experience Bedford Farms Ice Cream.

Trip Report Card
Overall Experience

Chunky Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream - An understated chocolate base was intensified by a fudge swirl, brownie pieces, and chocolate chips.
Mint Chip Ice Cream - Weak mint flavor spotted with massive chocolate chunks.
Vanilla Ice Cream - Velvet. The best vanilla we have ever tasted.  An ultra-smooth texture served at the perfect temperature.  You can pair this alongside a $400 dollar bottle of wine.
Hot Fudge Sauce - Though tasty, this thick hot fudge was overshadowed by the vanilla beneath it.

Oh that chunky chocolate pudding looks good. Back in the day when I worked at a Swensen's we sold 'sticky chewy chocolate' and I would imagine it was similar.

Bedford Farms doesn't make their own ice cream anymore. They used to. Their signage/wording makes on believe that they still do, but read it more closely! I think it's a fraud!

I believe Bedford Farms sells Richardson's ice cream now.
