Although the ice cream stand has only been around for a half-century, the Richardson family first began milking cows on their farm in 1695. Since that time much has changed in Middleton, including the addition of two miniature golf courses, batting cages, and a driving range. Although Richardson's is synonymous with family fun, it is the dairy-fresh, 16% butter-fat ice cream that people line up for…in long queues in front of a dozen or more open windows.

Our recommendation - We would travel across several towns to experience Richardson's Ice Cream.
| Trip Report Card |
| Overall Experience | |
| |
| Tollhouse Cookie Ice Cream - A soft, sweet ice cream flavored with crumbled cookies. | |
| Maine Black Bear Ice Cream - The strong, artificial raspberry flavor quickly gives way to a strange cough drop aftertaste. | |
| Snickers Ice Cream - There just weren't enough mix-ins to be able to identify what this flavor was. | |
| Vanilla Ice Cream - Moderately rich and creamy texture that could stand on its own without toppings or mix-ins. | |
| Hot Fudge Sauce - Sweet, gooey, and smooth. | |
