The definitive resource for news, events and reviews of great regional food from around the country
With a sister shop that sells exotic spices, how could Christina's possibly go wrong? The flavor list may have you thinking that you've entered Willy Wonka's magical laboratory, where lines cease to exist between dinner and dessert. Take a taste of the Kaffir Lime, Cinnamon Rice Pudding, or Thai Basil ice creams and you will see just how beautifully those lines can be torn down.

Our recommendation - We would travel across state lines to experience Christina's Ice Cream.

I maintained that Christina's Carrot Cake ice cream was to die for. On this visit, it was a bit icy, less of the cake mix-ins, and the overall flavor wasn't as intense as the last time I had it. In my opinion, the only thing that holds Christina's back from a perfect 5-cone rating are the rude scoopers...though they are consistent in their surliness, because they're like that every time! It just feels wrong NOT to stop there for dessert after a meal at All-Star Sandwich Bar.

Yes, Christina's All Star is always a fun visit.

Man, why did you not try at least one of the more exotic flavors? It's much of the reason you go to Christina's, to get something like Lemongrass or Khulfi ice cream.

Carrot Cake and Chocolate Mousse is not exotic? BTW, we have tried all of those flavors, but not on this visit.
