The definitive resource for news, events and reviews of great regional food from around the country
A cheery little shop right on the strip in downtown Kennebunk, the Daily Scoop also offers coffee, pastries, and homemade foods. All of their ice cream is made in their larger facility in Gray, which also boasts counter service. After strolling up and down the quaint streets in search of bargains, you can easily enjoy the ice cream that even President Bush has yet to discover from his nearby family compound.

Our recommendation - We would drive across several towns to experience The Daily Scoop

Their Grape-nut is FULL of cereal, and even though it was a bit icy because it's still early in the season for selling lots of ice cream, this is one I'd like to revisit at the peak of summer. Plus, the scooper was super nice, enthusiastic about telling us where the best fish chowder could be found, and she's actually very good friends with a family from our former Maine hometown! Small world/state, huh?

I have been going to Kennebunkport, Me. for 25 yrs and have never seen The Daily Scoop. I asked store owners and workers if they knew of it and no one did. You must have the wrong location. There is B en and Jerry's, Maria's and Old Salt. That's it!

The Daily Scoop is in Kennebunk, NOT Kennebunkport

Yes, it is on Main Street in Kennebunk (near Chadwick's), and has only been there for about three years.

Their pumpkin ice cream is excellent, too!
