The Quest for the Best Ice Cream: Day 1 Recap

Our first day on the road took us from the farmland outside of Boston to coastal Cape Cod over the course of an extended afternoon. In our eagerness to visit as many places as possible in the time available, we somehow failed to eat anything but ice cream over an 8-hour period. Luckily, however, Ma Glockner's (in Bellingham, MA) was on our way home and we were able to stop for a Berched Chicken dinner and a much-needed bowl of salad to help combat the effects of an all dairy and sugar diet!

Top Shop of the Day:

Stephen: Sundae School

Amy: Sundae School

Chris: Sundae School

Favorite Flavor of the Day:

Stephen: Pirate Pandemonium (Sundae School)

Amy: Bass River Mud (Sundae School)

Chris: Pirate Pandemonium (Sundae School)

Favorite moment:

Stephen: Watching the disgust on Chris' face after tasting lobster ice cream

Amy: Unearthing a entire intact chocolate-covered pretzel in the Pirate Pandemonium ice cream

Chris: Watching the scoopers in action from the counter at Four Seas; they were like dancers weaving in and out of each other's paths

Least favorite moment:

Stephen: Sampling lobster ice cream

Amy: The sugar crash that came after eating the 6th ice cream of the day

Chris: Not being able to finish the cinnamon roll at Ma Glockner's because of an already-overwhelmed sweet tooth
