In last week's Roadfood Poll, blueberries were the big winner with 42% of the vote (that's Michael Stern's photo, above, of the blueberry pancakes at Up For Breakfast in Manchester, VT). Blueberry pancakes are, of course, a classic, so no surprise there. What did surprise us was I Don't Like Fruited Pancakes came in 2nd with 21%. So 1 in 5 of you would prefer your pancakes straight, with maple syrup and butter presumably. There are a lot of purists out there! Last place: raspberries, even slightly below I Don't Like Pancakes. It's true, you don't often see raspberry pancakes. When they do show up they're usually part of a mixed berry ensemble.
